A practice test can help students become familiar with this style of assessment.

Ezyxam’s free HAST practice test gives students an opportunity to attempt assessment-style questions and review their performance.

The result should be treated as a diagnostic starting point rather than a prediction of an official assessment outcome.

After completing the test, look beyond the overall score.

Consider:

• Which question types were difficult?

• Was the student more comfortable with verbal or quantitative reasoning?

• Did timing affect accuracy?

• Were mistakes caused by misunderstanding or calculation?

• Which skills should be practised next?

These questions turn a test result into an actionable learning plan.

Students should then work on identified weaknesses and repeat similar questions before attempting another full test.

Parents should also confirm the specific HAST requirements and assessment arrangements relevant to their school or programme.
